The UK’s number one tribute to the sixties Mod band the Small Faces. Born on February 22 2007 they have been playing to packed out venues in the north, south, west and east of England. They’ve also captured the interest of the media with features appearing in specialist magazines such as Scootering and Classic Rock magazine. Venues are so keen to re-book they already have lots of gigs lined up for 2009. There is no doubt they are one of the top tribute bands on the circuit at the moment. The Small Fakers have received some impressive accolades and Matt Bond the lead singer is being seen as Steve Marriott “reincarnated”. The band are exceptional musicians and put on an amazing entertaining show, with classics such as “Whatcha Gonna Do About It”, “Sha, La, La, La Lee”, “Tin Soldier” and “All or Nothing”. They recently performed the entire Ogdens Nut Gone Flake album for a stage performance at the Playbox Theatre, Warwick 20th—22nd November 2008 |

The Vintones are no doubt one of the most exciting young bands to be around at the moment and one with a very promising future. They have high energy, writing and performing their own material. Originally classifying themselves as a being in the rock and roll genre, they have recently created their own sound that is quite unique, but without compromising their rock and roll roots. Whilst they are extremely serious about their musical development they are also having lots of fun. At present they are looking to support major artists rather than being a headline band. So if you have a slot for them, please let me know. They recently embarked on their “Rags to Rags Tour” which was filmed as a tongue in cheek journey of a rock and roll band on the road. They set out in an old car, no phones, no money and no where to sleep. What they did have was lots of gigs along the way. |

Bif Bam Pow can best be described as five Essex lads having fun playing the music they love. Their on stage performance in full of energy and excitement. And this comes across full on! To add to this mix, they are exceptional musicians who make it look easy. This is more than just a sixties Mod r n’ b band and they’ve been wowing audiences up and down the country for about 5 years now. During this time they’ve played at some prestigious festivals and rallies, including the annual Small Faces convention that attracts hundreds of fans from all the world. Recently they’ve been spending time recording a new CD and haven’t been able to travel as much as they would have liked. So 2009 I will endeavour to cast the net further afield to delight audiences up and down the UK. Why should Essex keep all the fun! |

Shaughnessy (soon to be called The Universal) is a highly accomplished musician from the North West of England. He has been gathering huge popularity and recently secured a record deal with his new album just about to be released. It seems an obvious thing to say but with Shaughnessy, the song is king. The constant pursuit of melody and hooks keeps Shaughnessy reaching for something classic. Influences include...Neil Finn, Ian Brown, Neil Young, Lennon & McCartney, The Beatles, Dr John, Steve White, Philly Joe Jones, Keith Moon, Paul Weller, The Style Council, The Jam, The Who, The Kinks, The Small Faces, The Meters, Booker T and The MGs, The Funk Brothers, Galliano, Buena Vista Social Club, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Art Pepper and The Rhythm Section and many more… |
