Val Weedon has been working in Press and Public Relations for over 20 years. She is a leading campaigning journalist and received an MBE in 1997 for her work with the Right to Peace and Quiet Campaign. Val worked in the music industry in the 1960’s and more recently has been helping to promote a tribute band called the Small Fakers (UK’s Number One tribute to the sixties Mod band the Small Faces). Val’s press and public relations work has lead to extensive coverage in the newspapers, magazines, radio and television. In addition to these skills Val has produced and hosted a number of web sites. On the 9th August the Small Fakers played their first gig at the famous Cavern Club in Liverpool. The heat was really turned up that night and the club were so impressed they are keen to get them back.
